There is a new app that is letting smart phone users create their own digital business codes. YPrintIt, a mobile application for both iPhone and Android that allows users to pick from over a hundred different templates to create business cards emblazoned with QR codes. The application can also be used to customize e-cards or digital invites and embed them with a QR code.

The codes can be scanned with any smart phone or mobile device equipped to read them. They can be linked to any sort of online content and can be used to showcase portfolios, resumes, blogs, or other forms of online presence. They can be sent straight from a phone and, being digital, have the potential to reach millions of people worldwide.

The app has a real time data sync feature that will update the codes it generates should users change their contact information. Those that have the codes will also be notified of the change whether through text message or automated call.

Users will be able to track the performance of their codes through the applications website. This will allow them to keep track of how many times the code is scanned and whether or not it is being shared by others that have received them.

A Blackberry version is slated to come later this year.

With technology becoming ever present in daily life and business, using QR codes is likely to become a staple of interaction from person to person.
